{"id":53893,"date":"2025-05-27T07:41:41","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T07:41:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/queme.org\/?p=53893"},"modified":"2025-07-04T15:35:56","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T15:35:56","slug":"vchr-fidh-new-report-on-iccpr-vietnam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/queme.org\/en\/vchr-fidh-new-report-on-iccpr-vietnam\/","title":{"rendered":"New Report on Violations of Civil and Political Rights in Vietnam"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>PARIS, 27 May 2025 (VCHR) &#8211; On 26 May 2025, the <strong>Vietnam Committee on Human Rights<\/strong> (VCHR) and the <strong>International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH)<\/strong> published a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/queme.org\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/VCHR-FIDH_shadow-report_Vietnam_CCPR144_2025_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Joint Shadow Report (opens in a new tab)\">Joint Shadow Report<\/a><\/strong> ahead of the review of Vietnam\u2019s fourth periodic report on its implementation of the <strong>UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. <\/strong>The review will take place on 7 and 8 July 2025 in Geneva before the UN Human Rights Committee and in the presence of a delegation from the government of Vietnam.
